Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks

9:08 AM Unknown 0 Comments

Today I want to talk about a holiday set I recently picked up at Sephora - the Laura Mercier caviar stick quartet.
Unfortunately, this set is currently unavailable online at Sephora, but they still have some sets left in the store, which is where I picked up mine. I believe they also have a gift set of these at Nordstom as well that includes even more colors! Even if you can't get your hands on this particular set, the caviar sticks are sold separately so you could always pick them up individually.

I was really excited about this set because I had swatched some of these colors in the past, and I remembered how beautiful they are. My favorite color out of the quartet is Moonlight, which is described as a metallic champagne beige. It's so metallic and bright and it's perfect for the inner corner of the eye or on the lid. I'm definitely going to be using this color for some holiday looks.

If you're someone who doesn't like spending a whole lot of time on their eye makeup in the morning, these sticks are definitely right up your alley. They make doing your eye makeup so fast and easy, it literally only takes a couple of minutes. What I love to do is apply the color Amethyst all over the lid, put Moonlight in the inner corner, and Cocoa in the outer V of the eye and blend the colors out with my finger. This creates such a beautiful, neutral eye look that is perfect for every day wear.

The best thing about these, for me, is the lasting power. I have slightly oily eyelids and I use an eye primer under all my eyeshadows. But these don't require a primer and I can put them straight on to my eyelid, and they last all day. When you apply them first, you can easily maneuver them with your finger and blend out the color, but then they dry and do not budge! After using these four mini-sticks, I definitely want to pick up the other colors in the line.

I have also used them under my eye shadows as bases, and they work wonderfully that way as well.

If you've ever considered trying these caviar sticks out, now is the time do to so since they are sold in holiday sets at a discounted price. I've really enjoyed using them and they make getting ready in the morning super fast and effortless.

Cover Girl Ready, Set Gorgeous Foundation Review

3:36 PM Unknown 0 Comments

Hey guys!

Sorry I've been M.I.A for a while, but prepping for finals has been consuming my life!
Today I wanted to hop on here and give a quick review of my new favorite drugstore foundation, which is super affordable. I picked mine up for $6 at Target, but I know this foundation varies in price, depending on where you buy it. I believe Walmart sells it for around $5.

I decided to try this foundation because I had watched MakeupByTiffanyD's raving review - Watch her review. I try and find affordable, great products from the drugstore to save myself, and my readers some money. I'm happy to say that this purchase was a total success. So far, I like this foundation much more than my EX1 foundation (which I talked about in a previous blog post).

I have slightly oily skin and some of my foundations tend to get shiny or fade away throughout the day. This foundation really does a great job at controlling my oil and staying in place. I hardly ever have to touch up with powder (maybe once a day).

What really made me love this foundation (besides the super-low price tag) was the fact that it never feels heavy on my face. It's not one of those foundations that takes forever to dry, and it also doesn't make me want to wash my face as soon as I apply it. It hasn't ever caked up or looked unnatural on my face and the finish of it is just beautiful. It's definitely not one of those water-based, dewy foundations and provides a medium coverage, slightly matte finish.

When I first purchased this foundation I got the color 110, but it was was a touch too dark and definitely way too pink in undertone. I returned it and bought their lightest shade, 105 and I'm very pleased with the result. It is pretty yellow/neutral in undertone, which works great for me. I've read that 105 & 115 are more yellow in undertone, whereas 110 is more pink. In L'Oreal True Match I wear W2 in the winter - so if you wear that foundation color, 105 would probably work for you.

I'm not sure how this foundation would work on dry skin, but I don't see it clinging to dry patches. Let me know if any of you with dry skin try this out!

I have been wearing this foundation non-stop for the past two weeks and I really wanted to share my thoughts on it with you guys. As always, I'm 100% honest with you guys and I truly only share what I love.

Questions From You!

5:28 PM Unknown 0 Comments

Hey guys,

I asked and you answered. Thanks to all of you who asked me beauty-related questions :)

This post is going to be a little different because I'm going to be answering your questions via podcast and blog post. It's so much easier to answer questions through talking, so that's exactly what I'm going to do.

Please listen and follow along the post for answers to all your questions.

Q: What is a good bronzer/powder to wear in the winter-to add a little color?
A: In the winter, your skin probably becomes lighter and so you may want to 1. Get a lighter bronzer or 2. Use a very light hand with the bronzer you have. If you want something to look like a very natural shadow, try going down a couple shades in pressed powder.
For example, if you use L’Oreal true match powder and you are in the shade W2, try looking at the shades and maybe get a W4 powder to use to bronze up your face. If you have trouble picking out bronzers, pick out the bronzer that is one step lighter than you think.

Some great bronzers to try:
Check out this website for more great bronzers!
Check out this YouTube video - http://youtu.be/CFDXc3-Cwy8
Some inspiration from Charlotte Tilbury: In winter your complexion tends to be paler, so make sure you choose the right shade for your skin tone, which should be one or two shades darker than your skin tone. Too dark a shade will just look harsh against your skin and will be difficult to blend. I would choose a shade with subtle sparkle to illuminate and warm up your skin. Before applying your bronzer, sweep a translucent powder on the areas you want to contour and bronze—cheekbones, temples, and jawline—to avoid any blotches and allow the product to blend into your skin. For the best results and a subtle finish, use a natural-hair big brush to apply the color gradually, and blend it well. To [fix] dull skin, use a highlighter on the tops of your cheekbones.

Q:What do you think of bottom-lid eyeliner? Does it age older women more?
A: Unless you're doing a dramatic smokey eye where you are using super dark colors, I would stay away from a dark color on the waterline and bottom lid. Eyeliner is really harsh and by adding it to the bottom of the eye, it makes that area look harsh as well. Having a blended look is much more beautiful and I always put eyeshadow on my lower lash line.
What a lot of people do to make their eyes look wider, brighter, and more awake is add a nude-colored or white eyeliner to the waterline (which is what she did in the right eye of this picture).
As you age, you should make your eyes look bigger and brighter, so my answer is yes, I think bottom-lid eyeliner can definitely age women. Stick to eyeliner on the top lid (rich browns are great) to define the lashes. Also, the dark colors of eyeliner can really bring out any dark circles or wrinkles that may be under the eyes.

This website has great anti-aging eye tricks!

Q: What are some awesome eye shadows and eyeliners I could find at a drugstore, like target or walmart?

Check out the website this picture came from

A: There's a lot of great eye shadows from the drugstore, and I think it's really about trial and error since eye shadows sometimes wear differently on different people. First, with any eye shadows, you'll only get a great, true result when you use a primer underneath. Primers make shadows look more true to color and last much longer. Since I don't own any primers from the drugstore, I can't recommend on from personal use, however I've heard of a few that are supposed to be great and would be worth checking out.

  • ELF Eyelid Primer - $1
  • L’Oreal De-Crease Eyeshadow Base - $5
  • NYX Eyeshadow Base - $4
  • Milani Eyeshadow Primer - $6.49
  • Maybelline Color Tattoo Cream Eyeshadow - $4 (although these are technically cream eyeshadows, they are great to put down as a primer before other shadows. I've used these before and they are really good!)

Okay, rant over, on to the actual eye shadows :)

  1. Everyone and their mom rants and raves about Wet N Wild's Walking on Eggshells eyeshadow trio (pictured), and I've been wanting to check it out myself, especially since it's super cheap.
  2. L'Oreal Paris Infallible 24 HR Eye Shadow - These are kind of like mac pigments, they're loose eye shadows that work really well when used wet (try using this with eye drops. put an eye drop on your brush and then dip into the shadows for great pigmentation).
  3. Although Makeup Geek shadows aren't sold in a drugstore, they're definitely drugstore price and have really cheap shipping online. If I could recommend any eyeshadows, drugstore or even high end, these would be it!!! Not even kidding, people, these eyeshadows are really great and super affordable at $5.99 each.
  4. MAYBELLINE Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner - Really great gel eyeliner!
  5. MAYBELLINE Eye Studio Color Plush Silk Eyeshadow (pictured on the right) - I have a couple of these and they are seriously some of the best drugstore eye shadows out there. Definitely grab some of these because the colors are beautiful and the pigmentation is great too.
  6. L'ORÉAL Color Riche Eyeshadow Quads - I've also heard that these are great.
  7. MAYBELLINE Expert Wear Eyeshadow Quad
  8. Milani Bella Eyes - These are probably some of the newest drugstore eye shadows and the most raved about recently. I definitely want to pick some of these up because of all the great reviews so far!

Q: What colors do you recommend for blue eyes?
A: I think greys, browns, golds, and silvers are especially beautiful on blue eyes. Warm browns, golds, and coppers really bring out the blue color. Neutral colors always look really great on blue eyes. I also think dusty purples and lavender is great for blue eyes.  Check out this awesome website - this website really breaks it down and gives good options.

Q: How do you do a smoky eye... and not look like you have a black eye.
A: Practice makes perfect and smokey eyes aren't easy to master! For me, it's about making sure that I put a lighter color towards the inner portion of my eye, not dragging out the color to far up or out, and creating a crisp line at the edge.
Put your darker colors on the outside or on the lid. Don't bring them up to high and make sure you highlight the inner corner of your eye and the brow bone. Be careful when using colors like purple and black because they can easily look like a bruised eye. Avoid this by putting a lighter color in the inner portion of the eye (picture on the right). I also like to take a makeup wipe when I'm done and create an edge on the outer portion on the eye to create a crisp line. Also, make sure you really blend out your shadows, but don't take them up too high. There should definitely be a lid color, crease color, and a highlight color. To make the eyes smokey, make sure you put a color on the lower lid of the eyes and blend.

Great eye shadow hacks!
Simple, smokey eye video

Q: What is the perfect way to put red lipstick on without it running?
A: Lip liner and concealer! No matter your age or type of red lipstick, you should always begin with some type of lip liner, whether it be clear, nude, or red. This is so the lipstick doesn't end up all over your face and gives the lips a crisp line.

When I apply red lipstick, I first exfoliate my lips, put on my lip liner, use a lip brush to add my lipstick on the rest of my lips, and then clean up the edges with concealer. I know some people apply a thin layer of foundation on the lips before to make the lipstick last longer. Sorry for the huge picture, but it does a great job of showing how to properly apply a red lip.

Christmas Gift Guide for Beauty Lovers - Part One

4:40 PM Anonymous 0 Comments

Sephora and Ulta have been tempting me with all their holiday emails and new product releases. But, I must resist! I'm on a college budget, you know. ;) (but when has that ever stopped me?) But, I have to wait until Christmas and anxiously add things onto my wish lists. Sigh. So in light of that, I thought I would share some wish list excitement with you all.

With all the limited-edition holiday sets being released, I thought I would do some beauty research and put together the ultimate wishlist. Yay for early Christmas shopping (or treat yourself shopping)!

These are my personal opinions about what I think would make great gifts for the make up/beauty lovers in your life. However, I tried to make this list versatile so that everyone could find something that they would enjoy.

To make things easier, Let's break these gifts up into categories!

Quick Tip: Always ask if your gift receiver has a Sephora, Ulta, Nordstrom, etc. online wishlist - it'll take all the guessing out of it. I know I have a wishlist on almost every beauty website, but that's probably just me.

The Beginner

For all those people in your life that like their makeup to be simple or may be just starting to build their makeup collection. These gifts are appropriate for everyone.

For beginning beauty junkies, sets with a lot of variety are key. If someone is just beginning to play around with products, then it's great to get them samples of different things to try out.

1. Check out the Sephora Favorites types of sets because they have mini-versions of a lot of best-selling items.
  • My pick: Sephora Favorites Draw the Line - $30 : This set includes great smaller sizes of some of my favorite eyeliners, making finding your favorite super easy.
2. Neutral Eye Shadow Palettes
  • Too Faced Sugar & Spice - $39 : This palette (pictured) has the beautiful holiday packaging, but includes 12 neutral toned eye shadows that would look great on everyone. This palette looks beautiful and has enough colors to create many eye looks. Also, Too Faced shadows are really great quality. Check out some of their other palettes if this one doesn't work for you.
  •
  • It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Palette - $42 : There are now two versions of this palette - The Holiday Edition and the First, Volume I Palette. I own the first palette and it is so incredibly easy to use and beautiful. Both palettes look pretty similar, however it looks like the first palette features warmer colors. Whatever version you choose, you won't be disappointed - these eye shadows are super creamy and blendable, anyone can use them!
3. Lip Sets

  • Fresh Sugar Cravings Lip Trio  - $28 : This little trio (pictured) has three awesome tinted lip balms that are great for that person who enjoys a great chapstick (Hah!), but not the full coverage effect of a lipstick. These are the nicest lip balms you'll probably ever own and are such a fun little gift to give. They also smell amazing - kind of a fresh, lemon smell - and are great for dry, winter lips.

  • Want a more affordable option? Check out the Burt's Bees chapstick trios - $9.99 - They are still really nice tinted lip balms. However, know that they have a strong mint scent and tingling feel on lips, unlike the Fresh Trio.

  • Bite Beauty Best Bite Remix - $25 : I have actually purchased this gift set for myself and I absolutely love it! It has such great colors that are perfect for this season and I love that you get so many different options, and the sample sizes are pretty darn big. This would be perfect for the lip lover in your life because these lip pencils are really creamy, great quality, and provide a lot of options so everyone could find a color they like. The nude/pink color in this set is beautiful!

  • Quick Tip: Don't buy those EOS (circle lip balms) gift sets - they're a total rip off and those lip balms are super waxy and aren't very moisturizing. Splurge and get a good lip balm during the winter time.

    4. All-In-One Sets
    • Tart Rainforest After Dark Palette - $38: Although this isn't technically a holiday release, it's still a limited edition palette that's been recently released. I don't own this palette personally, but I've heard great things and I've enjoyed many Tarte products. That being said, this palette has almost everything you need to create a look. Eyeshadows, one of their awesome blushes, a bronzer,  and a highlighter. These colors look very neutral and versatile.
    • Laura Geller Sweet Sensations - $39 : All of the Laura Geller holiday kits look wonderful, but this one is my personal favorite for one big reason; the highlighter in this kit is too die for!! It's such a beautiful, gold color that looks great on any skin tone. The other items in this kit are great as well, and the baked blushes are really nice and pigmented. This kit has a beautiful eye shadow quad (pink/brown color), the amazing highlighter, a pinky baked blush, and a pinkish  brown lipstick.
    5. Tools and Essentials for a makeup kit
    • It Cosmetics for Ulta Brushes - Having great quality brushes make makeup application so much easier, and much more fun. The holidays are the perfect time to pick up limited edition sets of brushes. They are the perfect gift for any beauty lover! My new obsession are the It Cosmetic brushes that are exclusive to Ulta - they are so soft and great. My favorites are the Live beautifully blush brush and the Airbrush blending eye shadow brush 105. The eye shadow brush is perfect for blending out the crease and makes such a difference in application.
    • Beauty Blender - $20 : I have owned this cute, little pink sponge for a couple of months and I don't know what I did without it. There's just something about using this to put foundation on that puts brushes to shame (and that's a big deal for me to say). For someone who's wanting to expand their makeup collection, this product is a must have. For Christmas, you can get the beauty blender and the cleanser for $25, which is great.
Stay tuned for the next part of my Holiday Gift Guide...

    What's on your wishlist?

Get Ready With Me - Green Eyeliner and Hot Pink Lips

    2:20 PM Anonymous 3 Comments

Today's video is a get ready with me type of video and I show you how to achieve a simple makeup look with a couple pops of color.

I was super anxious to film this tutorial using my new ColourPop Lippie Stix. Look for a review/video I'm going to be posting soon; I'm going to be talking all about my love for Colourpop cosmetics.

Enjoy :) Make sure you watch in HD

New Drugstore Find - Maybelline Brow Drama

    11:49 AM Anonymous 0 Comments

If you've read any of my other blog posts, you'd know that I think filling in your eyebrows is essential for any makeup look.

That being said, filling in your eyebrows can be difficult without practice and all the brow pencils and creams can be intimidating.

However, there's one eyebrow product that is fool-proof and super easy for anyone to use; the eyebrow mascara. If you can apply mascara to your eyelashes, then you can apply it to your eyebrows as well.

The only trouble is, tinted brow mascaras/gels are expensive! Anastasia Beverly Hills has their tinted brow gel that'll cost you $22. Benefit's Gimme Brow is also $22 and Tarte's brow gel is $21. This just seems completely ridiculous for a product that adds structure to eyebrows.

However, the only drugstore option there's been is the clear brow mascara, and that definitely doesn't add any color to the brows. It's a wonder it took drugstore makeup companies this long to realize that this product was missing from shelves.

Maybelline has launched their version of the brow mascara - Maybelline Brow Drama. This product will only cost you $6-7 depending on where you buy it; the cheapest place to purchase this is Target or Walmart.

Since I've been wanting to try a brow gel, I thought this was the perfect time to pick up an inexpensive drugstore one; I picked up the color deep brown (dark, cool toned brown color).

    After using Brow Drama:
I really like how this gel keeps my brow hairs in place and adds just a small amount of color to the brows.

The only thing I don't love about this product is the size of the brush. Because of its weird, circle-shaped tip, it can be slightly difficult to apply the product. However, I figured out how to brush the hairs after a couple tries.

I think this is a really good, inexpensive alternative to the $22 brow gels that are out there. This product does what I wanted it to do, which was keep my unruly eyebrow hairs in place.

It lasted on my brows until I took it off with makeup remover. I didn't have any running or smudging throughout the day.
Only using Brow Drama to fill in my brows
I'm really enjoying integrating this product into my brow routine. I use this as almost a "top coat" on the eyebrows. First, I fill in my brows with my Mac Fluidline brow gelcreme in deep dark brunette and then I brush over the hairs with the Maybelline Brow Drama.

    Fall Nails

    7:02 PM Anonymous 2 Comments

The weather is getting colder and the bright, neon colored nails are gone and darker colors are beginning to show up on nails. I love a dark, rich color on my nails!

Before you begin painting your nails, make sure you take the time to do a few nail-care steps first.

    Before painting:
    1) Clip and file nails to desired shape (round, square, etc.)
    2) Push back cuticles
    3) Apply a base coat to the nails - My favorite is the CND Stickey Base Coat ($8.50)
If you're someone like me that has issues with peeling or thin nails, think about investing in a protein coat for your nails. Recently, I purchased the Nailtiques Formula 2 protein treatment and I've noticed a huge difference in my nails. I also love using this protein treatment as a base coat, under my nail polishes.

Let's get into some of my favorite fall nail designs:

    Tied in a Bow Nails

    1. Apply the Essie polish on your ring finger
    2. Apply the OPI polish on the rest of the fingers
    3. Make sure you add a second coat of polish on each finger
    4. After the polish dries on the ring finger, apply a bow nail tattoo or sticker. - I used a nail tattoo that I purchased from Francesca's
    5. Apply your favorite top coat to all your nails. My favorite top coat is Seche Vite because it's cheap and it makes your nail polish dry super fast!

    Sparkly Nude Nails
    1. Apply two coats of OPI polish and let completely dry
    2. Apply the glitter polish, the Julep Jane, and drag halfway up the nail
    3. Apply gold rhinestone close to the cuticle
    4. Apply desired topcoat

    Jewel-Toned Nails
    1. Apply the Essie polish to the ring finger and pinkie finger
    2. Apply the OPI cable carpool polish to the middle finger and thumb
    3. Apply OPI ice bergers to the ring finger.
    4. Make sure you add a second coat of polish on each finger
    5. Add a gold rhinestone close to the cuticle of each nail. I like to pick up the rhinestones with the pointy end of a nail file - simply dot the pointy side of the file into some top coat and then pick up a rhinestone and place onto the nail.
    6. Add your favorite top coat to each nail

Although these are some of my favorite nail looks to create during the fall season, there are tons of other designs that you can create. Check out Fall nails on Pinterest and get to painting!

How My Passion for Makeup Began

    8:24 AM Anonymous 0 Comments

When I began posting on my blog and became more open with my passion and love for makeup, I got asked the following question, "So, how did you learn to put on makeup so well?"

I guess I never really thought about that "where it all began" moment, but I decided to ponder the idea. Although I can't say that I decided I was going to enjoy makeup so much in one day, I do remember having a similar thought. (Cheesy, right?) :)

As silly as it may sound, I remember, during my middle school years, binge-watching the TV show What Not to Wear and being in awe of Carmindy, the makeup artist that transformed women's views of themselves. All of a sudden, these women who were in need of some makeup tips felt beautiful and many of them swore to wear makeup properly from then on.

Who doesn't want the skill of making yourself, and others, feel beautiful with makeup? I certainly did... and still do!

After listening to Carmindy's tips and tricks, I already knew some of the tips and tricks to making yourself look good with makeup.

Then came my discovery of YouTube.... you can probably say that I have an addiction to watching beauty guru videos. But, seriously, if you're someone who is wanting to learn a few makeup tricks or wish to really further your makeup skills, hop on YouTube and start browsing.

My addiction started last Christmas when my boyfriend bought me my first Urban Decay eyeshadow palette, the Naked 3 Palette. I wanted to learn how to create some different looks with these eye shadows and I began searching on Pinterest, which then lead me to a YouTube video. I was hooked from then on.

Now, I hop on my laptop almost every morning, grab my cup of coffee, and enjoy watching my daily dose of beauty videos. I learn something new from them everyday, although sometimes I have to resist (or give into) the urge of buying more beauty products that are being shown in said videos.

    Anastasia Tamanna Palette Review

    1:10 PM Anonymous 0 Comments

    The Perfect Palette for Fall

The Anastasia Tamanna Palette ($29) is my newest piece to my makeup collection and I'm so excited to play around with the colors in this palette even more. So far, however, I'm in love with this palette. What drew me to this palette was the array of different colors because they are all perfect for creating fall-inspired looks.
The palette comes with ten eye shadows and a small dual-ended brush. I have to say, the packaging on this palette is just beautiful!

My two favorite colors so far are Sangria and Bengal because I don't own any similar colors and they are so gorgeous on the eyes.

I was impressed by the pigmentation of these eye shadows because the first time I swatched them (in the store) they seemed slightly chalky; but I'm glad to say that they don't go that way on the eyes.

The only color I am disappointed about is the color Blush because it is extremely chalky and patchy when applied. If I do want to use this color, I will definitely have to either wet my brush or use some setting spray to get more pigmentation from the eye shadow.

Swatches without camera flash - natural lighting
Here's one look I've been wearing with these eye shadow colors a lot - it's perfect for a more natural, daytime look.

    • First I put Bengal all throughout the crease (with a fluffy eye shadow brush) and blend upwards to create a gradient effect with the colors.
    • Then I take a more precise crease brush and add the color Sangria directly into the crease and blend.
    • Make sure you go back over the colors and blend out the eye shadows so that there are no harsh lines.
    • Then take the color Gilded and place that directly on the lid.
    • Add eyeliner of your choice (I used my It Cosmetics eyeliner in Lucky Jade
    • Add mascara
    • Take a small, precise brush and add the colors Bengal and Sangria to the lower lid of the eye and blend.
    • Use the color Fresh to highlight under the eyebrows and in the inner corners of the eye to make your eyes look bright and awake.
I think that this palette is great, especially for fall, and it's definitely worth investing in. Also keep in mind that the price tag is $29, and for a high-end palette, it's pretty cheap at around $3 an eye shadow.

If you want to take this look from day to night, this is a great video that uses almost all of the same shadows I used (above), but in a more dramatic way. I absolutely love this tutorial!
    Enjoy! :)

Easy, Essential Steps for a Flawless Face

    6:15 PM Anonymous 0 Comments

How to bring back life to your complexion! Here are some everyday, simple steps to enhance your natural beauty.

    Before Makeup Application
    After Makeup Applicatio

Foundation takes away all the natural shadows and highlights of the face.

So, sometimes foundation can make someone look more lifeless and dull than without it. To bring back color to the face, it's important to add some color back into your complexion.

Step 1: After foundation, it's important to get rid of any dark circles under the eyes. I usually use a concealer that is one shade lighter than my skin tone to brighten the under eye area. Today I used my It Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye to conceal. Make sure to properly blend out the concealer; I prefer using my beauty blender to blend out my concealer, but a brush or your fingers will work well also.

Put the concealer in a triangle shape under the eyes and blend into the skin (as shown). Don't forget to set your under-eye concealer with powder to prevent it from creasing!

Step 2: Personally, I think that bronzer is the most important step to any makeup application; it makes such a big difference. Bronzer brings color, warmth, and life back into your complexion. However, be careful not to pick a bronzer that is very orange in tone because then it can look unnatural on the skin. Today I used my Pop Beauty Sunkissed Bronzer

Add bronzer to the contours of the cheekbones, temples, and on the outer portion of the nose. I love adding definition to the cheeks because it makes them look thinner and more defined.

After bronzer, I usually add blush to the apples of my cheeks to bring even more color to the face.

Step 3: I've only recently started filling in my eyebrows and it's made a huge difference in how my makeup looks. Adding color to your eyebrows can take some practice, but it really lifts the face and creates a nice frame for any eye-shadow you may want to apply.

As you can see, my left eyebrow is filled in and looks much more polished. If you're scared of making your eyebrows look over-done or fake, try using a brow powder at first. One of my favorites is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder - I have the color chocolate.

However, today I used my Mac Fluidline Gelcreme (in brunette) and a small angled brush to fill in my brows.

Step 4: Apply a couple coats of your favorite mascara and you're good to go! Of course, I used my L'Oreal Double Extend mascara.

I use these few steps when I want to a quick, fresh makeup look. Of course, feel free to add your favorite lipstick and eyeshadows to amp up this simple makeup look.
